Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)

Posted 8/2/2017

CPTED considerations on sites and in facilities look at the static measures that are in place that  assist and enhance the individual's ability to maintain control over their own security and safety. By ensuring that the environment supports this self-assessment, individuals gain empowerment and the ability to make decisions on how to transit though a location. This greatly increases confident movement on the respective site on in a facility, and can decrease fear and/or actual security/safety risks. It is always effort and costs well invested to take CPTED considerations into account.
